Covid cases “on the rise” – or are they?

You’d be forgiven for thinking that with the mainstream news focusing everyone’s attention on the “War In Ukraine” or the “cost of living crisis” that the Covid ‘pandemic’ had quietly come to a halt, and had somehow ended without anyone even noticing.

Even so, I have seen in recent days the odd occasional news story rearing it’s head warning about cases being ‘on the rise’ again.

I’m no medical expert, but it has become my considered opinion that what originally emerged as ‘Covid-19’ – the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus – is nothing more than a severe bronchial pneumonia resulting from a bad flu infection.

The listed ‘official symptoms’ are so vague that they cover many minor ailments now.

Here in the UK, it’s the middle of summer, so we’re well out of ‘flu season’, which typically happens during the winter months, when our immune systems are at their weakest.

So after a couple of days of “drip drip”, the BBC has now published this ‘opinion piece’:

Covid is rising again in the UK – should we worry?

You’d be forgiven for letting out a weary sigh. There’s so much going on from Ukraine to the rising cost of everything – and now Covid is rearing its ugly head again.

The latest statistics show the number of people infected in the UK has more than doubled since the start of June with around 2.3 million people testing positive. You probably know someone who’s had it.

So is summer ruined? Two-and-a-half years into the pandemic we’re back facing new variants, a surge in infections, questions about whether the NHS can cope and what it means for all our lives. It’s also giving us a clearer idea of what living with Covid is going to look like.

“We’re in a bad patch at the moment,” says professor of public health at the University of Edinburgh Linda Bauld.

“It’s very disruptive to society and some are suffering severe effects, but that’s still a tiny proportion of where we were.”

“Covid is rising again in the UK – should we worry?” – BBC News, July 2nd 2022

The first question to ask is “where are these cases coming from?”

The ‘free’ lateral flow tests are no longer being handed out like candy as they were before.

The second question of course is “are any of these people actually sick?”

It is the height of summer, and it is also the height of “hay fever season”, so it makes me wonder how many people who ‘believe’ they have Covid symptoms, are actually just suffering with a bit of hay fever.

I’ve had hay fever before in the past, and it can be a little uncomfortable at times, but it is not life-threatening. Though strangely, I’ve not really suffered that much with it myself this year, apart from the occasional sneezing fit and runny nose, which usually clears itself up within a matter of minutes or hours at most.

The third question remains as “do you actually have Covid, or do you ‘believe’ you have Covid, due to the incessant media propaganda and social engineering messages that have been pumped out over the last couple of years?”

It would seem to me that while most people have ‘moved on’ and put all this nonsense behind them, there is still a minority of people that have been manipulated so much by the media propaganda, that they can’t bear for this to be all over, and have to continue to go along with whatever the media spouts out next.

Some new variant, or some other bullshit…
